Gladiatrix II: In the Shadows of Darkness - Week 15 Update

Deep within the recesses of the earth you are confronted with a never before seen creature.

Module Progress:
  • I'm almost finished with the last quest in this chapter of the module. Then after I test what I've done so far I'll be opening this part of the module for beta testing.

  1. Good luck, and hope all can be fine and you don't bump into many bugs and things to fix.

When the betatest opens, count on me to help :)

  2. So the beta will have all the content except that it might have some bugs?

  4. Thanks everyone for your support and interest! The beta will have all the content for the first chapter of this module. I estimate that it will represent about 40% of the whole module. I'll be doing thorough testing before I open it up for beta testing so hopefully there won't be any showstopping bugs. My hope is that the testers will let me know of any glitches they might run across, spelling and grammar errors and just general feedback on what they think about it so far. There's always a possibility that a player might wander into a situation that I didn't foresee, which could end up being more of a major glitch. That happened a couple of times in my first module. My hope is to catch all these things before the module gets officially released.

  5. Modules looking great, as a heads up for people like me who had trouble last time loading it I will try adding any hak files to my main folder and see if that works, I had so many hak files that looking for any conflicts would be mind boggling =P

  6. If the 40% of the whole Gladiatrix II is about the same length as Gladiatrix I, why not just make it the Gladiatrix II? The rest can be Gladiatrix III instead.

    1. I might consider doing that. I guess the pros would be that people wouldn't have to wait as long to play a sequel. The cons being that it wouldn't feel as epic because things that happen in this chapter lead into the next chapter. A couple of the characters from last module haven't shown up yet and she's supposed to be finding them. I don't want people to vote me down because story elements are left hanging. Gladiatrix felt like a complete story and this would feel like part of a story. When I release it for beta testing I'll see if the testers think it is complete enough to release as a module on its own.

  7. Fallyn, you will know if you feel that it's not complete. I would rather play what you Intend us to play and Not a half baked story.
I cant wait to get to play it, but I want the whole and not the half :)

  9. Hey, I just want to say, I recently started playing Gladiatrix I, and I think you did a fantastic job! You must have put so much hard work and time into it! I didn't think another mod could ever live up to ADwR, but yours certainly does! I really look forward to the next release! Keep up the great work! :)

  10. the creator of ADwR wanted her mods to be just one as well before splitting it to two mods due to length. I think if the plot you have so far has a decent, albeit incomplete, ending, it should be okay with most people if you split it. Personally I would rather have one mod than two, but that's just my opinion.
