Gladiatrix II: In the Shadows of Darkness - Week 16 Update

A fearsome encounter in the Cheviot Bog. How would you like to be swallowed whole by this thing and meet a slow death by digestion?

Module Progress:
  •  I've completed the Nova's Cape chapter of the module except for some touching up.
  • I just have to spend most of this week doing my own testing.
  • I'm aiming for my next week update to be a request for beta testers.

    1. You can also see it in the "Sands of Fate" trilogy and perhaps in other desert oriented modules, too. It's created after the fashion of the sandworms of Dune.

  2. Where are you planning for your beta testers to tell you about the bugs that they find?

    1. I think I'm going to set up another blog page like this one but specifically for the beta test. That way the testers can comment and discuss.

  4. The updates and screen shot sneak peaks really make this module look like it'll be very very good. Cannot wait to put myself forward as a beta tester when you open it up.

  5. Are you going to pick specific people to test it or just let the general public test it?

  6. If I remember correctly, the original Gladiatrix took about eight to nine months to build, right? Well, if Nova's Cape represents 40% of the module, then I'd extrapolate that you are probably looking at around the same time frame for this one. I comment on this only because when you started, you thought it would be quicker. Note that this isn't a complaint - the module is promising to be epic in scope, and I am sure it'll be worth the wait.

I just wanted to ask however if this is because the module has grown larger than you initially expected, or because you were too optimistic with your projected development time! :P Anyway, looking good, and I love the weekly updates you give us.

    1. Part of the reason is because this module is much larger than I expected. The other part is that I'm absolutely horrible at predicting how long it is going to take me :) Hopefully the beta version will keep people entertained long enough for me to complete the rest.
